Part-Time 3 days a week 8.30 am – 4.30 pm

The employer has 249 units and serviced apartments and a part-time gardener/handyman position has become available.

About the role:
Reporting to Management, you will be responsible for attending to maintenance of the gardens and grounds throughout the village as well as some general maintenance work. (Lawn mowing is carried out by a contractor).

You will be required to carry out your work in accordance with OH&S guidelines and safe work practice. The retirement village is active in ensuring a safe work environment and you will be required to be involved in the preparation of, and compliance with safe work practices.

You will be required to undertake emergency procedure training and first aid training. You may also need to undertake work-related training. You will work as part of an overall team and a flexible attitude will be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous maintenance and gardening experience

• General Maintenance skills

• Ability to supply a Police Check

• Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised

• A friendly and understanding manner

• Good interpersonal and intergenerational communication skills

• A flexible attitude

• Eligibility to work in Australia

• Must be fully vaccinated COVID
